From the Desk of Christopher Paolini

Read below for the latest from Christopher Paolini!

Welcome back! There hasn’t been too much news since I returned from my last book tour. Most of the time I’ve spent nailed to the chair in front of my computer, pouring my imagination onto endless pages, so that I, you, and everyone else can know what happens to Eragon and Saphira.

I finally got all the material for the Deluxe Edition of Eragon wrapped up, with the help of my wonderful editor, Michelle Frey, as well as copy editor, Artie Bennett, who knows more about languages than just about anyone else. I wish that I’d had him around when I was going through my English courses in high school!

I have to admit, I’m looking forward to hearing your reactions to the first chapter of Eldest, which is excerpted in the special edition. It contains quite a shocker. . . .

Oh, and the Italian and Japanese versions of Eragon have been released. I haven’t gotten a chance to see them in person yet, but the pictures of them look pretty neat. Especially the Japanese Eragon; the end-papers with my map are blue. And the entire book is printed from back to front and is read from left to right, bottom to top!

That’s all for now.

Sé onr sverdar sitja hvass!

Christopher Paolini
